Nevel are a small sustainable brewery with a passion for fermentation techniques. They find inspiration for their recipes in every aspect of their daily lives: edible flowers, fruits and herbs that surround them, cheeses and chocolates that are made by craftsmen, a good glass of natural wine or a surprising dish.
They work solely with mixed fermentation cultures, which results in dry, refreshing, and complex beers. Most of their beers are aged in wooden barrels to create deeper flavours. Their ingredients are sourced locally and organically whenever possible.
For International Gruit Day, Nevel will be releasing their very first gruit ale, Weder, brewed with myrica gale, yarrow and mugwort that they foraged in their hometown of Nijmegen. Furthermore, they're organizing a release party at the brewery on Gruit Day where people can drop by and taste Weder for free and buy bottles to go.
